History seminar student papers, ca. 1963-1968.

Summary: Students' seminar papers dealing with topics in western history by students at the University of Arizona for Prof. John A. Carroll. The class was titled Western History Seminar and papers were submitted between 1963 and 1968. Topics include diverse subjects featuring Arizona and Southwestern history including mining, religion, military, political, ranching and Native Americans. The class was an undergraduate offering but carried the designation "399g" identifying it as an upper class seminar generally offered to select history majors. It is interesting to note that the papers were all typed in memory graph format thereby allowing for multiple copies to be made for distribution to fellow students or other sources. Most papers contain valuable narratives and footnotes.
